Sex racketeers extort money with used condoms

A joint-team of police claimed to have busted a ‘high-profile’ sex racket operating in Shahpura on Tuesday.

According to SP (South), Rahul Lodha, the arrested include a Mumbai-based 22-year-old girl; 32-year-old Dilip Goyal alias Goldy who is the alleged kingpin of the racket and 28-year-old Arjun Pal alleged to be the local commission agent.

The team of Shahpura police and Mahila Thana arrested the three from a car parked at a desolate spot.

Both Goldy and Arjun are residents of Bhopal.

Goldy, who was a rifleman in Rajasthan rifles from 2003 to 2012, allegedly operated the racket along with around half-a-dozen agents in Bhopal. The agents approached the clients through online escort service advertisements. On receiving queries, the agents formed WhatsApp groups and sent the details of the girls and their photographs. Goldy allegedly arranged for girls who used to stay for 7-10 days in Bhopal and worked on per client, or per day basis, said Lodha. Goldy had taken voluntary retirement and was allegedly involved in the flesh trade for the past four years. The girls were brought to Bhopal on contract from Delhi, Mumbai and Bihar for local clients. Arjun, who also worked as Goldy’s domestic help would find new clients in Bhopal, added Lodha.

The racket used to target local influential clients and would charge Rs 8,000- 10,000 from them.

Police recovered about 50 used condoms, which were allegedly used for blackmailing the clients later. During the interrogation, Goldy revealed that he was in touch with prostitution racketeers across the country.

A case under relevant sections of PITA Act has been registered against the accused and they were being interrogated.

According to SDOP (Misrod), Vijay Punj, Goldy and Arjun were also allegedly involved in the sex racket that was busted on June 27 at an apartment in Shahpura.

The police had then nabbed two girls and an agent after raiding an apartment at Rohit Nagar Grah Nirman Society. One of the arrested girls was from Gwalior, while the other from New Delhi, aged 19 and 23 years respectively.

A mumbai-based girl, a member of that racket, had booked the apartment on rent of Rs 10,000 a month through an agent . She was introduced as a student of an engineering college in the city to the owner of the apartment. She would entice other girls by telling them that they would make a fast buck. In return, the Mumbai based girl got a sum of money as commission. Deals were fixed by sending WhatsApp pictures of the girls and the customers were charged between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500.
